I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. Philemon 1:6

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling
Scripture and Inspiration for Your Soul

Woo Hoo! Count Down to  Day 1……December 10, 2013…..Yes, Tuesday !!! It’s fast
approaching. Gather your supplies and find you a little nook. You can dedicate
as little or as much time as you desire. Remember it’s about taking the
process….So you can begin in the morning finish in the evening. Or you may begin
and have to revisit in a day or two. It’s up to you.

Remember this is your art journal. You can journal along with me or chose another topic or focal point. I will be sharing different techniques to help us along.

One of my favorite Art Journalers is Tammye over at Daisy Yellow Art.
You can visit her blog for a more comprehensive list.

I am a Mixed Media Faith Art Journaler. I will be using wet and dry media along with  techniques like collaging with found paper. Use whatever you have on hand or add to your supplies as we go along. But it’s not necessary for this journey to stock pile your kitchen table with lots of art supplies.

The Basic Supplies you will need are:

Paper – Water color paper, mixed media, art paper
Gesso
Markers, Pens, Pencils – Something to write, draw or doodle with
Paints – watercolor, acrylics, or craft paints
Paint brushes
Old gift card
Adhesives
Parchment paper
I am truly excited and still bursting at the seams with JOY! I hope you decide to go on the journey by sharing, encouraging and participating! The Lord is driving this mission and I am being obedient. I pray this journey opens our hearts to more of Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for making me special. Thank you that I am little different and that You are ok with that. I praise You because I was made in Your image. So, I honor You with this journey. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Getting Closer....31 Days of Faith Art Journaling

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

We’re getting ready for the 31 Days of Faith Art Journaling to begin Tuesday, December 10, 2013. More about that date later.  I want to encourage you to follow along or to join in. We are going to keep this light and have fun. It doesn’t matter if you can or cannot draw. It’s not about drawing. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done anything creative in the last decade. It’s not important if you don’t understand color mixing, still life or abstract paintings. What we are doing is greater than that.

What is Faith Art Journaling?

Faith Art Journaling has a different meaning for everyone. Yet, there is always one common thread…your faith in God. There are many ways in which we express our faith and our thoughts on faith. Journaling is one. Journaling involves writing your thoughts. Though there are more ways to journal. Art involves expressions using media such as paints, drawings, inks, collage and more. Through Faith Art Journaling we will embellish our words with whatever creative energy that flows out of us. So, it’s about the process, which could involve your morning devotion, your afternoon praise, and your evening prayer.

You can journal your thoughts, feelings, prayers, prayer requests, answered prayers, sermon notes, testimonies, praise reports, favorite inspirational quotes…….whatever your heart desires. Also, you may create a visual journal with collage pictures or your own drawing. It’s up to you.

So let go of any inhibitions…. Let's walk this together.

Let God be God….

Just Do It!

Be blessed!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I praise You for a fearless spirit. I desire to honor You with my talents. Lord, decrease me so that You may increase. In Jesus Name.

God Bless My Art

It’s been a while since I posted. There is something about stopping and starting…it takes a lot of energy. Perhaps less energy is used when you ride the wave of momentum.
I have been having fun in my art journals. And in my mind, I’ve wrote a hundred posts. J After reading other blogs and admiring the work of other art journalers. I am inspired by all the creativity. I am still finding my creative voice. I love learning and experimenting. This journey is truly liberating.
I understand the creative gift the Lord placed in me. I can't be afraid to develop my gift.My gifts belong to Him. Through art journaling I honor my Source.
I have always kept a journal. My thoughts flow like a stream over rocks. Yet during those times when my mind feels as if waves are pounding, journaling presents a wonderful outlet as well. So , I invite you to come along on this journey with me.
One of the challenges I had was simply finding time. I had to decide that spending time in my journals, whether writing, drawing, or painting was important TO ME.  So, I decided to take the time. And recently I have been creating beginning background pages. I have found  Solace during my time journaling. I feel connected and centered. I know I am blessed.
God Bless My ART
Heavenly Father,
I come before you honoring You as the creator of my gifts. I  pray that my words will be pleasing to You. I pray that my blog will be a blessing to all who stop by. Lord, I ask that You remove any fear that would keep me from growing. I desire to grow in You. I desire to be a fierce Kingdom Woman of God on a mission to share Your Word.
Lord, I know I can get in my own way. I want others to see You in my art and I ask that You bless my art so that it goes forward to make a difference in the world.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
