May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

2 Corinthians 13:14

Day 31!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!

Singing, "Yes, Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so!"

Thank you for joining me on this last and  final day of 31 Days of Faith Art Journaling! My heart is overflowing. I could hardly wait to get home to start on this page. Interesting, it wasn't until I sat down that anything would stand still in my mind. So, now it's 11:00 pm and I am at peace with what flowed from my heart.

I relieved myself of trying to create a masterpiece. I remained true to this journey. I learned about different ways to hear from the Lord. I learned about where I am at this point on this spiritual journey. I learned different art journaling techniques which made me step out of my comfort zone.

I indeed am the Lord's servant out of my comfort, growing in Christ each day!

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling Day 21

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling

Day 21: Water Color Twist-Ups , Color Pencils

"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."

Mark 11:23

Welcome back to Day 21! As I drove in the drive way today, I noticed it was decorated with sidewalk chalk....drawings everywhere....a sign that my  7 year old grandson was still visiting. He has become my art partner. So, after being home for about 15 minutes he reminds me, "Grandma, have you completed the art for your blog? "

Today we are doing a two page spread! Come on! It'll be fun!

So, here I am! :-)

Let's Begin!

Initially I was going to collage the mountains, hence the paper. The journaling took this another direction.

Materials Used

Water Color Twist-Up Pencils

Color Pencils

**************************

Directions

1. Lightly sketch a mountain scene or another nature theme.

2. Color in with color pencils.

3. Using the water color twist up, color over the color pencils

4. Apply water using a water brush over the drawing.

 Scripture Journaling

Print out and glue to the page. Journal...

Each day I walk over mounds and mounds of issues. My job entails dealing with unhappy and angry people every day. It amazes me how differently people handle their mounds of issues. And then mounds become mountains. Then I listen as people reach their breaking points. And then I pray.

Today......was different. I knew to stay in constant prayer for myself. My mountain....depression.....is being moved! Praise God. How many know that your issues just go away without a fight. So, I pray and cry. Cry and pray. And speak to my mountain with no doubt in my heart that God's got this.

So, today.....I draw. I pray. I journal. I cry.....and then "Peace" by Juanita Bynum comes on my Pandora.

I feel peace.....I know I am okay.

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief: for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20

Prayer: Dear Lord, I praise You because I can speak to my mountain in Your name. Thank You for Your healing and making me whole. I need You, Lord and whatever You are doing in This Season....don't do it without me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling Day 11

Day 11: Water Soluble Oil Pastels

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

 **************************

I really enjoyed reading John 8. The chapter had so much in it.  As I am writing, I am listening to the song, Let Go and Let God. It’s all connected for me. Letting go and allowing God to show me who I AM in Him was the single most power miracle that changed my life! Years I spent searching , worrying and not understanding….or maybe not believing. But the truth of who I AM in Christ set me free from the lies that held me captive to my past.

Knowing that I have a purpose and nothing about my life was a mistake, helped resurrect something deep that was already in me.  I praise God for saving me and loving me while I am perfectly imperfect.

Do you have a “But God” testimony?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Amazing Grace. Thank You for who I am in You. Lord you never left me. I am truly grateful. I praise Your name.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling Day 10

31 Days of Faith Art Journaling

Day 10: Water Soluble Oil Pastels

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Woo Hoo! We have reached double digits!!! Day 10. This has been the most amazing journey. Though I have been journaling scriptures, I am also reading before and after the selected scripture. I sing to myself, listen to music or journal in the quietness of the morning. This journey is helping  me so much to hear from the Lord in this season. I pray this journey is  creating a deeper level of journaling for you.

Let's Begin!

Materials Used

Paper
Water Soluble Oil Pastels
Sharpie Permanent Marker

************************

Directions

1. Be free and allow yourself to draw , make circles or any design.

2. Rub the pastel to blend the colors. Pastels are very creamy and so much fun.

3. Outline focal points in black. Rub to blend

4. Seal your work

When working with oil pastels the chalk can transfer to other pages. You can seal with a fixative, spray varnish or frame your work. All spraying should be done outside. Currently, I don’t have a fixative, but read some where, you could use hair spray or matt medium. I will let you know how either of these works.

Scripture Journaling

Journal in the corners of your work.

My love for the Bible began in 3rd grade when Mrs. Powell use to read Bible stories each day. When I tried reading at home, I was often left confused and frustrated. Yet I was determined at age 9 or so to read the whole Bible. Still on a journey to listen to God through His Word, I have learned to pray for wisdom when studying the scripture. The same scripture may speak to me differently depending on what’s going on in my life. I find that amazing!

Was there ever a time when you handled or reacted in a situation before praying about it and the results less than favorable?

Prayer: Dear Lord, I ask that You always go before me. If it is your will for me to understand certain situations, I will follow You. If it is Your will to prepare me for Divine answers, I trust You. In Jesus Name. Amen
