Welcome to my art journaling page. I am so excited about this blog! Why?? I’m writing my first post and taking a step toward starting. So, often I allow myself to get so busy, that I ignore the creative juices running through me. That frustrates me. I love to blog, journal, write, sew, quilt…. I have kept a journal since 7th grade which has allowed me to be expressive and to deal with many of life’s challenges.
I am at my best when I am creating. Yet there have been times when I allowed fear to hold me captive to what is the truth in any given moment. But now when I feel fear, I allow myself to step out in courage.
My kids blush when they tell others I love to tell stories. And most of my friends know I struggle to do that under 300 words. J I love the concept of using paints, markers, ephermera,found objects, and paper among other things to create a medium for self expression. Yet, I know in order to fully enjoy whatever my hands create, I have to work in freedom.
That’s the essence of this blog…..freeing the artist, the writer inside of me. My desire is to be closer to God. This is a leg of my journey. I hope you enjoy the ride.
